Digital resilience: A set of practices that support the ability of an organisation to protect itself from, and respond to, digital security threats to ensure the wellbeing of its members/individuals, and to adopt infrastructures that respond to the ever-changing needs and contexts of the organisation and its members.
Over the years, The Engine Room has directly supported hundreds of social justice organisations with their tech and data challenges, strategies, plans and policies.
Our goals are always twofold: to help organisations use digital technologies in strategic and impactful ways, and to offer tools and strategies for reducing and mitigating the vulnerabilities that can come along with digital systems. This is what ‘digital resilience’ is about.
This resource hub is designed to support organisations working towards social justice (in all the many different ways that manifests!) with tools, strategies, and ideas. We're starting off small, but will be expanding!
We're also part of the Global Network for Social Justice and Digital Resilience, along with nine other organisations, so head over there to find out more about what our partner organsiations are doing!
